About
Florian Böller joined the HCA as Senior Lecturer in Political Science in October 2024. Previously, he taught international relations at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, served as an interim professor at Leibniz University Hannover, and was a postdoctoral researcher at the HCA. Florian Böller received his doctoral degree in political science from the University of Kaiserslautern with a thesis on congressional-executive relations regarding US military interventions in the post-Cold War era. He studied political science, economics, and history at Heidelberg University and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2017, Florian Böller was a Fulbright visiting scholar at Harvard University’s Center for European Studies. In his research, Florian Böller focuses on US politics and transatlantic relations, in particular arms control, military interventions, and the domestic sources of security policy in Western democracies. His work has appeared in monographs, edited volumes, and international journals, such as Contemporary Security Policy, British Journal of Politics and International Relations, and Congress & the Presidency.
